2010 Information from Alderman Mervine - New Laws -
January 1st always brings a group of new state laws each year and this year is no exception. One key law that our police and schools have been waiting for will focus on the use of a cell phone or PDA in a school zone. As of the first of the year, this is now illegal. No texting or talking on a cell phone while driving in school zones. Our crossing guards tell us this is the most common concern they have with drivers not paying attention as they drive around our schools.

The 2010 Proposed Budget is available. Please note that there will be no increase in dues – they will stay at $207.00. The last meeting for 2009 was on held Thursday, October 27, 2009.
