ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
The Architectural Review Committee, with assistance from the property manager, processes all modification requests. This includes advising a resident of specific regulations, and reviewing/approving a submitted form.
LANDSCAPE
The Landscape Committee looks into landscape related issues in our neighborhoods. Their goal is to assist the board by focusing on seasonal designs, prioritize neighborhood common area upgrades and establish a long-term landscape plan. Your input is always welcome. TRAFFIC
The Traffic Comittee looks into traffic related issues in our neighborhoods and the surrounding arterial streets. A big part of the committee’s work will be the development of a traffic plan to help us promote a safer community environment for our families and still allow for the necessary flow of traffic. Your help is needed to identify the traffic problems in Oakhurst. Please contact: traffic@oakhurstcommunity.org or fill out the survey below.
Members of the committee include a board member and neighborhood reps from the Oakhurst Community Association and representatives from Reba Steck School, Fox Valley Park District, Alderman Mervine and a traffic specialist from the Aurora Police Department. We will be adding a representative from the Aurora Engineering Department soon. The intention is to develop a plan using those with the knowledge and skills to solve these problems. Their response has been very positive.
The Traffic Committee Needs Your Help
The committee will look at two areas of concern. One deals with the internal streets where we live. The other deals with the outside city/county/state streets that have a great impact on traffic in our area. These outside streets include:
- Ogden Ave./Route 34
- Eola Road
- Montgomery Ave.
- Kautz Road
- McCoy Blvd.
- New York Street
