The Oaks Recreation Club and Association, Inc. presents
Test the Water
Q. What is it?
A. The “One Year Test Drive”, provides a one-year “Dues Only” membership without purchasing pool bond.
Q. How does it work?
A. Simple Register and pay 2011 dues of $495.00 and enjoy the swim season.
Q. What happens next year?
A. Test Drive Members must either buy a bond from the club or purchase and transfer
a bond from an existing member in good standing.
Q. How much is a pool bond these days?
A. The cost of a new bond is $1,750 from the club or the Board has a small quantity of repossessed bonds that are being sold for $595 (which includes $100 transfer fee).
Q. Will the $495 paid for the 2011 Test Drive Membership count toward the cost of a pool bond?
A. Yes, but only for bond is purchased new from the club.
Q. What about the bonds I see advertised for sale?
A. Bonds purchased from equity members are not eligible for the 2010 dues credit, but
can often provide a savings.
Q. Who can be a member?
A. Any Oakhurst or surrounding community residents within the Steck school boundary.
Q. Why make this offer?
A. We realize pool bonds are a large investment, but by allowing prospective members to
see and participate for a summer we hope to demonstrate the true value of the bond.

Club Membership is currently limited to 325 Households.
Membership requires purchase of a membership bond
and annual dues.

Currently the club has a limited number of memberships
available for sale. Please contact the board
of director's membership coordinator to learn more about this
opportunity to join the club.
*Please note: All Memberships sold by existing members
require pre-certification by the club showing all dues are current.
Memberships with outstanding dues will not be transferred by the
club until all outstanding dues are paid.*

and Certification forms are also available from the Club Treasurer.
Completed certification forms need to be sent to the board
of director's membership coordinator.

Annual Dues
Each year the Board of Directors determines the
annual dues assessed to each member household. Dues for 2009 are
$495 per household.
NOTE: dues must be current in order to use the
pool.
